Rooflight with ventilation function

Dimension

From 60 x 60cm to 200 x 300cm

Certificate

Declarations of Performance in accordance with EN 1873:2005 (national equivalent: PN-EN1873:2009)

Characteristics

  • Rooflights provide comfortable and even natural light to rooms

  • A popular use for rooflights is to provide spot lighting for workstations located directly below the skylight

  • Rooflights with ventilation function are also used for natural ventilation of the rooms over which they are installedThe use of rooflights helps to minimize electricity costs

  • They are very often used in large rooms, as they can effectively replace the use of traditional windows.

Technical description

Rooflight base:

  • Galvanized steel sheet can be additionally painted in any RAL color (basic colors: 9010, 9002, 9003). Base height adapted to the roof structure and technical requirements, from 150 to 750 mm. Standard heights: 150, 350, 500, 750 mm. Skylight bases consist of four segments joined together and require a support structure around the perimeter.

  • Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) with a height of your choice: 200 mm for a straight base, 150 or 300 mm for a slanted base. The base of this material is made entirely of this material. Requires a support structure around the perimeter.

  • Type of bases: straight, straight-pine or
slanted

Cover:

  • Cellular polycarbonate (PC) – thickness of choice 10, 16, 20, 25 mm. The outer layer of polycarbonate covered with a coating containing a UV filter,

  • Fire retardant Kera Fire Protect fire retardant panel with fire reaction class BROOF(t1) - thicknesses of choice 21, 27, 33 mm,

  • Domes – single or multilayer, material of choice: acrylic / solid polycarbonate,

  • Translucency – klar (transparent) or opal (milky, standard for fire retardant Kera Fire Protect panels),

  • Solar Control – chambered polycarbonate covered with a special additional coating that allows to control the amount of solar radiation passing through the panel. As a result, rooms are better protected from excessive heat in the summer.

Clamping frame:

The bases have special cut-outs in the corners, which, after installation and machining of the base, allow free press-on installation of the so-called PVC "clamping" frame.

Tilting segment:

The tilting segment consists of a frame and a cover. Cover is made of cellular polycarbonate, solid polycarbonate or acrylic. Choose from two color options: transparent or milky. The surface can take the shape of a convex, dome-shaped (from acrylic or solid polycarbonate) and flat (from cellular polycarbonate). Rooflights made of cellular polycarbonate can come in fire retardant classification.

The frame is made of aluminum profile. It is protected around the perimeter with gaskets which prevents water from entering the rooflight.

Drive:

The following opening systems are used to open rooflights to ventilate rooms:

  • Manual screw opener (with detachable crank) with 300 mm spindle extension

  • Electric actuator 230V with spindle extension 300mm or 500mm

  • 24V electric actuator

Technical parameters

  • We make rooflights in the range of (60-200)x(60x300) cm,

  • DL 750 - has a downward directed load resistance of up to 750N/m2,

  • UL 1500 - has an upward load resistance of up to 1500N/m2,

  • SB 300 - 1200 - shows resistance to impact with a large soft body,

  • 1.1-2.5W/m2K- heat transfer coefficient for the whole product. The coefficient depends on the choice of cover and base,

  • Cover made of cellular polycarbonate, Kera Firm Protest fire retardant panels and acrylic/polycarbonate dome (1-5 layers.

Additional option

  • Possibility to equip the rooflight with an anti-fall grating or insect netting

  • Possibility of attaching anti-drop brackets to the rooflight

  • Possibility to use E30/EI30 baffle
